NETIO-230C Web Based 4-Ch Mains Switch with PING Reboot

The NETIO-230C is a Ethernet/Web based 4-Channel mains switch unit which can automatically re-boot up to 4 devices when a ping request fails.

The NETIO-230C can be controlled over a network using any web-browser, by telnet or CGI commands. Each independent outlet can be switched ON, OFF or Booted (OFF- delay-ON) or a built-in timer can provide scheduled on/off control. Android and IOS Apps also available.

The NETIO-230C also has a "watchdog" function whereby a power outlet can be toggled off and on following a failure of the associated Ethernet device failing to respond to a PING request. This can be used to automatically reboot a device that has locked-up and is failing to respond. The NETIO-230Cc can then send an email report to let you know a reboot has occurred.

For developers, the NETIO-230C allows integration into larger systems using  the RS-232 interface or by CGI commands sent over the LAN.

New 1-wire sensors for the Audon Electronics TCW240 Ethernet Control Unit

A new range of 1-wire based sensor interfaces have been introduced for use with the TCW240B Ethernet control unit.

altThe TCW240B is an Ethernet based multi-functional alarm and control unit with built-in web server. It includes 4 digital inputs, 4 analogue inputs and a 1-wire interface for up to 8 external sensors.
It also has 4 relay outputs with normally open and normally closed contacts. The relays can be activated remotely from the web interface or from software using SNMP, XML and HTTP API commands. The relays can also be automatically activated from the status of a monitored input, such as a temperature, exceeding a set limit. A relay can only be assigned to a single input, but every input can initiate a alert e-mail or SNMP trap on alarm.

The TCW240B also has a real time clock, so scheduled tasks can be programmed in either single or with a continual daily/weekly basis.
Three new 1-wire interface modules have now been introduced in addition to the existing temperature and humidity sensors: the TCS200 is an current module for both AC and DC currents up to 15A, the TSV200 is a voltage module with a 60V input range and the TSA200 is a 4-20mA current loop interface. All modules feature galvanic isolation and dual RJ11 connectors for easy daisy chaining on the 1-wire bus.

The large number of digital and analogue inputs, the 1-wire sensor bus and relay outputs makes TCW240B a good choice for various application such as home and office automation and alarm systems, greenhouse and agricultural control, industrial process control, IT system monitoring and critical fridge/freezer monitoring and alarm.

TBox20 - Alarm and Control via your Mobile Phone

The TBox20 is a low cost solution to Remote Control and Monitoring via your mobile phone. The TBox20 can monitor 2 analogue and 4 digital switch inputs. A SMS alarm message can be sent when inputs exceed preset limits. The user can also interrogate the inputs through SMS messaging. The TBox20 also has 4 relay outputs which can be activated via SMS and used to switch lamps, pumps, heaters etc

The Tbox20 is an advanced yet simplified Remote Terminal Unit. Taking advantage of the reliable, widespread GSM networks and the supported GPRS service, Tbox20 becomes a remotely accessible unit from any part of the world. Using an embedded feature rich web server interface, you can configure various parameters of Tbox20. The inputs present on Tbox20 can be used for monitoring of external devices or connecting sensors (analog/digital). Alarm conditions can be configured for monitoring of these inputs. Since Tbox20 supports SMS and SMTP protocols, the device can be configured to send SMS/Email whenever alarm conditions occur. Tbox20 also gives you the freedom to control the states of the connected outputs.

DAQFactory Starter Data Acquisition software

Available from Audon Electronics is a new cut-down version of the popular DAQFactory data acquisition and control package called DAQFactory Starter.

DAQFactory Starter offers all the basic features of an HMI / SCADA software tool including data acquisition from a wide range of devices (limited to 16 I/O points), data logging to ASCII and binary files, three user definable screens with 44 screen components, powerful graphing and trending, plus Email and FTP out.

If you have a small application with less then 16 I/O points and don't need any of the advanced features of a full SCADA package, then DAQFactory Starter is probably just right for you. Plus, if your system grows, you can always upgrade. DAQFactory Starter is only £29.

Remote Control and Monitoring via your mobile phone

The Audon Electronics GSM-8000 is a low cost solution to Remote Control and Monitoring via your mobile phone. The GSM-8000 can monitor 8 analogue and 8 digital switch inputs. A SMS alarm message can be sent when inputs exceed preset limits. The user can also interrogate the inputs through SMS messaging. The GSM-8000 also has 8 relay outputs which can be activated via SMS and used to switch lamps, pumps, heaters etc. The GSM-8000 is complete with an LCD display for local status display, keypad and built-in Dual Band Modem.

The GSM-8000 has 8 x 12-bit 4-20mA analogue inputs, compatible with industry standard sensor transmitters. The input signals can be converted into meaningful engineering units such as °C or RPM and displayed on the LCD screen. Each analogue input can be assigned a high alarm setpoint and a low alarm setpoint. Alarm activation notification is sent via SMS messaging to up to two different mobile phone numbers. The user can also interrogate the analogue input readings at any time by SMS messaging.
The GSM-8000 has 8 digital inputs which can also be used to trigger a SMS alarm message when a contact is made. Again, input status can be read through SMS messaging.
The GSM-8000 also has 8 mains-rated relays which can used for remote control purposes. The relays can be activated and their status checked all via SMS messaging.
Typical applications areas include Industrial process plant, security and building management systems, traffic/transport systems, freezer/furnace monitoring and water/gas/electricity plant monitoring and control.

LabJack U12 USB DAQ Unit

Now available in the UK from Audon Electronics is the LabJack U12 USB data acquisition and control unit.

The Labjack features 8 single ended or 4 differential analogue inputs,
2 analogue outputs, 20 digital I/O including a 32 bit counter and
watchdog timer. This is all crammed into a sturdy unit measuring only
150mm x 110mm x 35mm.

The LabJack has a ±10V input range at 12-bit resolution. Differential
channels can make use of the low noise precision amplifier with gains
of 1,2,4,8,16,20, giving an effective resolution of greater than 16-bits.
Data can be streamed to disk at 1kHz and a bursts mode allows over
4000 samples to de taken at a 8kHz rate. The two 0-10V analogue
output channels can be updated at a 50Hz rate with 10-bit resolution.
All analogue I/O are accessed via screw terminals.

The LabJack has 20 digital I/O channels which can be individually
configured as input or output. Four digital I/O's are accessed via
screw terminals whilst the remaining 16 are accessed through a
25-way D connector; an optional relay/opto-isolator expansion
board is available. There is also one 32-bit counter available on
the LabJack U12, capable of counting frequencies up to 1 MHz.
The LabJack U12 also has a watchdog timer function available
which can change the states of digital I/O if the LabJack does not
successfully communicate with the PC within a specified time-out
period. This function could be used to reboot the PC allowing for
reliable unattended operation.

The use of the PC's USB port allows for a simple plug-and-play
installation process and by using USB hubs, up to 80 LabJacks
may be connected to a single USB port.

Included with the LabJack are the free example applications
LJlogger and LJscope. LJlogger provides datalogger type
functionality. It reads all inputs, controls all outputs, writes real
time data to the Internet or hard disk, and sends email when
events are triggered. LJscope is a virtual oscilloscope program
with FFT display.

Drivers are provided as a DLL which can be called from most
programming languages. Also included are an ActiveX wrapper
and LabVIEW VIs which call all the functions in the DLL.
